....soap!
Corney-but a nice and easy craft for the kids to give to their friends for Christmas. It's about as simple as it looks-melt and pour soap in a little plastic baggie with a plastic fish in it. Tie the bag while it's still liquid and voila! The hardest part is keeping the fishie upright while it solidifies, we had a couple of dead looking ones before we figured it out.
:)
I have completed an awesome number of thigns recently, but have I had time ti take pictures?? Nooooo. So I am copping out and giving you a list of lists-other bloggers who have gone through the trouble of compiling list of all sorts of things:
Bella Dia-On line tags! Not to mention her holiday story collection and the daily craft to go with each one! She is my self esteem issue.
How About Orange and her paper ornament list.
Happy Mundane has some great hand made ornament ideas.
And Thimble, who has to many ideas to list separately.
I actually have one very easy but very visually (to the craft delayed) impressive gift that the kids and I whipped up yesterday-and I will do my bestest to post about it tomorrow. When I have pictures. Though when I will have the time to pull an extra day of hours out of my ass so that I then have the time to take pictures, I just don't know.
:)
You are not dreaming-that is my lace. BLOCKED! The expert knittings among you will notice I did not crochet the edge, mostly because once I cast off I had a whopping 2 yards of yarn left-how's that for knitting precision? Usually I run out 4 stitches shy of finishing the whole damn thing. But not this time-I think the cosmos knew what would happen if I had-after more than a year and a half of knitting and my mom's 60th 50th birthday days away, there was no time for the mega tantrum I would have thrown. I also could have/maybe should have blocked the fans a little wider, but it turned out well, and I just thank god it's finished.
