Our yearly meat on top of meat Thanksgiving. Gotta love the British way of doing things. This is technically not a WIP as we cooked it, ate it and threw out the bones.
A hat for Tabby made of my new favoritest yarn ever-100% baby Llama from Miski-I am going to knit the whole world a poncho out of it and wrap it up nice and warn. After Christmas though. You can see more of this project at Ravelry where I am making pathetically slow progress at putting together my profile. It's amazing though. Really a work of genius. Ravelry that is, not my profile, which is still pathetic.
My lace which has been a one and a half year project. I am close to calling it done even though I am about 40 rounds shy of the pattern's end. It's looks like it ends up super huge (someone left a comment to that affect ages ago too) so am am trading in another year of knitting for the rush of accomplishment I feel when I block it. Which will happen soon. Sometime soon.
A dragon scarf for Oliver.
And my new Amy Butler bag (I didn't make it-I bought it! She's selling them now, though I can't find them online). It's my briefcase and it's full of all the other projects I have in my head that will all be finished soon. Really really soon. Just think 2, no, 4 hats, a pair of socks, and a baby blanket based on the lizard ridge pattern again.
And now a random selection of pictures form the last week.
What a Waldorf child looks like when confronted with a human sized TV screen showing car racing no less. The LA auto show was sensory overload for all of us.
Though a Quattroporte makes it all a little better. I love this car. And I think it compliments my beautiful family nicely.
Did I tell you I am married to a surfer? And am now the mother of one too.
Your daily piece of cutie pie.
And, brace yourself, you daily dose of vintage knitting book humor:
At least we pray they were trying to be funny, because there is no other explanation.
The postman has been good to me but it'll make this one monster of a post so I will save the goodies for the next one. Good luck on your own holiday projects and if you're in the area we are having a craft party at the UCC on Friday night-it's free and we'll have a bottle of wine open!
:)
