Playing catch up
Okay, so much for every week. But in my defense, I have been locked away in the English country side for the past 2 weeks with NO WEB ACCESS! I struggled with this, I admit. I had to let the sock monkey dead line pass, even though I made a sock monkey! I will post pictures of him soon. I had to let several Self Portrait Tuesdays go, even though my sister took a picture of me passed out sleeping in the car after being picked up at Heathrow and while on the way to Wales. I almost peed my pants laughing when she showed it to me, it was that good a picture. Unfortunately, because I did not get to post it and because her phone could not local it's mother planet in time, the picture expired into cell phone history without making it here. So, this blog will be a bit of ancient history. BUT, it will actually have some reference to craft!
Here I present the first half of the dress I have crocheted for my baby daughter's first birthday:
And a close up of the smocking detail:
And (Maud, close your eyes) here is a little project I have been working on as a present for a friend's daughter:
And this is the page that inspired the dolly, though I think mine has more flair.
Now, I won't get into it today, but I, too, have a Japanese craft book "thing" and I have shamelessly indulged, meaning I have so many things I want to do that I will need to sell my children and stop sleeping to get even half of them finished before I die. You may see an occasional reference to the occasional book, here and there, occasionally.
Did I mention we were on the last plane to get out of Heathrow before the strike shut it down? See, you're lucky I was even here to post today.
